The Sub-Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic & Planetary Physics (AOPP) at the University of Oxford has a NERC studentship to work on one of the following projects, commencing 1 October 2016:
Atmospheric sounding using IASI
(supervised by Anu Dudhia)
Comparative dynamics of super-rotation in Earth-like atmospheres
(supervised by Peter Read)
Fluid dynamics of turbulent western boundary currents
(supervised by David Marshall)
Land and marine biological effects on the carbon cycle in the Anthropocene
Bifurcation and nonlinear climate sensitivity
Coupled biological/climate evolution during the Proterozoic
