PhD student in climate science with focus on Arctic aerosols and clouds
Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University. Closing date: 15 February 2016.
The position will be associated with the project ”Marine Aerosol Influence on Clouds in the High Arctic” funded by the Swedish Research Council. The aim is to understand how high Arctic cloud properties are influenced by aerosol particles, in particular those linked to the microbiological life at the ocean surface To investigate the problem, we will make use of high resolution (large-eddy) numerical modelling and measurement data from previous campaigns conducted close to the North Pole during summertime. The PhD student is expected to work both with data analysis and numerical modelling, but the specific focus of the study can be adjusted depending on the background of the PhD student.
