A postdoctoral position is available at the Laboratoire de Météorologie Physiques (LaMP/CNRS), at the University Blaise Pascal, Clermont Ferrand, France. The successful candidate will participate in airborne measurements aboard the French research aircraft (ATR-42) within the European FP7 project DACCIWA (Dynamics-aerosol-chemistry-cloud interactions in West Africa, The airborne field campaign is planned for June-July 2016, in Togo, West Africa.

The postdoctoral position will involve:

1)     The operation, analysis, and interpretation of aerosol and gas measurements including aerosol number concentration and size distribution (CPC, SMPS), aerosol chemical composition (C-ToF-AMS), and gas-phase measurements.

2)     Combining aerosol measurements with gas-phase measurements to interpret aerosol formation and evolution processes.

3)     Combining aerosol measurements with in-situ cloud microphysics measurements to study aerosol cloud interactions.

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in environmental science/engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline. Experience with mass spectrometry and data analysis (Matlab/Python/IGOR) skills are highly desirable. The initial appointment will be for one year, renewable for an additional year based on performance. Ideally we would like the candidate by June 2016.
