Dear all,

As part of the NERC-funded CENTA Doctoral Training Partnership we are advertising a PhD studentship on

'Assimilation of palaeoclimatic proxy data into GCMs'

at the University of Birmingham, with co-supervision (including research visits) from the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg.

The project offers the chance to gain experience in climate modelling, palaeoclimatology, atmospheric dynamics and statistics. For further details about the project and how to apply please see

http://www.centa.org.uk/themes/dynamic-earth/b40/ or contact Martin Widmann (m.widmann@bham.ac.uk).

Funding is available to EU students, will be allocated to the best candidates within the pool of all CENTA applicants, and provides fees and stipend.

The application deadline is 25. January 2016.

Best regards,

Martin Widmann
