Postdoctoral position in mesoscale weather modeling to enhance fog forecast
Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, UAE, invites 
applications for a postdoctoral
position to deploy an operational weather forecast model to predict fog 
formation and dispersion in the
region.
The successful candidate will use Masdar-based HPC and will contribute to 
deploying and maintaining a
radiometer profiler. The work will focus on a) fog nowcasting using the 
ground-based radiometer and b)
enhancing the existing version of WRF through the assimilation of remote 
sensing observations.


Postdoctoral position in air quality modeling using WRF-CHEM
Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, UAE, invites 
applications for a postdoctoral
position to deploy an operational forecast of gas and aerosol with WRF/CHEM in 
the UAE supported
with satellite remote sensing monitoring.
The successful candidate will use Masdar-based HPC and will have access to 
observations from the UAE
in situ air quality network. Plus, the candidate will be trained to use the 
SEM/EDX for dust morphological
and elemental analysis. The work should lead to the forecast of surface PM2.5 
and PM10 and trace
gases concentrations. There is also interest in assessing the impact of 
aerosols on visibility and solar
radiation as well.
