Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Climate Science Department Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences Michigan Technological University The Department of Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences at Michigan Tech invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level to support the department’s educational and research programs related to climate science. The anticipated time for employment is August 2016, but is negotiable. A Ph.D. in atmospheric science, geology or related field is required at the time of application. The ideal candidate may have an expertise in atmospheric science, hydrology, and/or surficial geology processes applied to paleoclimate reconstruction or modern climate variability and impacts. Applicants will be evaluated based on their capability to obtain external funding and publish scholarly research, mentor graduate and undergraduate student research, and their capacity to educate graduate and undergraduate students in the geosciences.
