The Energy-Meteorology research group at the Department of Meteorology
invites applications for an independent short-term research fellowship
(STRF) to work at the interface of energy- and climate- science.
The STRF is intended to support an early career scientist to develop
their research in this exciting and emerging interdisciplinary area. The
post holder will work closely with the Energy-Meteorology group but it
is anticipated that they will use the post as an opportunity to develop
their own research interests consistent with the broad area of energy-
and climate- science. Candidates' research experience may lie primarily
in either climate dynamics or energy science but a clear interest in
pursuing research relating to both fields must be demonstrated. The
initial post is fixed-term (expires 31st July 2016) but there is a
strong possibility for extension.
Applications close 4th December 2015. Further details are attached and
Informal enquiries may be directed to Dr David Brayshaw
