Forwarded from CLIMLIST... The Department of Geography, University of California, Los Angeles seeks applicants for a post-doc position. A Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences, or a related discipline and experience with UNIX and FORTRAN are required. Research experience in utilizing a GCM and/or a regional atmospheric model is necessary. Background knowledge on land surface processes and/or climate-land interaction is desirable. The successful candidate will work on the NSF Earth System Modeling project (<http://easmea.geog.ucla.edu>) and conduct numerical experiments for the purpose of understanding land surface processes and their interactions with climate system. This position is initially for one year but is renewable based upon satisfactory performance.
