The Earth Observation Science (EOS) Group at the University of Leicester is currently advertising the following projects as part of NERC’s CENTA Doctoral Training Program.

 

These positions are only available to EU citizens.   

The correct closing date for applications is 25 January 2016.

EOS projects available to start in 2016:

A constellation of small satellites for air quality monitoring: Design, prototyping and scientific concept development

Project supervisors: Dr Roland Leigh and Prof Paul Monks

Crowd-sourcing high-resolution precipitation dataset in smart cities for urban flood risk modelling

Project supervisor: Dr Alessandro Battaglia

Do we understand the global water cycle? Applying novel EO methods to diagnose the processes controlling the global water cycle

Project supervisor: Dr Hartmut Boesch

Modelling Coupled Contaminant Fluxes from Surface and Atmosphere for Human Exposure

Project supervisors: Dr Josh Vande Hey, Dr Michael Barkley & Prof Paul Monks

Pollution Hunting in the Persian Gulf

Project supervisors: Dr Michael Barkley and Dr Hartmut Boesch

Satellite observations and modelling of carbonyl sulfide (OCS) in the atmosphere

Project supervisors: Dr Jeremy Harrison and Prof John Remedios
