UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII Post Doctoral Fellowship Opportunity in Paradise. The University of Hawaii Department of Atmospheric Sciences located in Honolulu, Hawaii has an opening for a post doc. The position is part of a Federal and State initiative to improve electrical grid performance for solar and wind energy. The position is funded at $60,000 annually for three years. Renewal of the position after one year is subject to program review and the availability of funds. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in meteorology (or in computer science, with a BS in meteorology). Preference will be given to candidates who have a facility for and an interest in scientific programing, and experience in running WRF (e.g., dynamic downscaling).
