The School of Earth Atmosphere and Environment (SEAE) is pleased to welcome applications from talented and ambitious academics to fill a permanent lectureship position (Level B or Level C) in Atmospheric Science. SEAE at Monash has broad interests across the full range of Earth sciences (see http://www.monash.edu/science/schools/earth-atmosphere-environment). We encourage applications from candidates working in all areas of atmospheric research.

In this position, you will conduct research and teaching of the highest international quality in a team of like-minded individuals. With support from the school you will attract funding to undertake research and you will recruit and supervise postgraduate students and postdoctoral research staff.  You will establish your own research group and contribute to existing research themes within the school. You will identify collaboration opportunities within and beyond the University.

Additionally, you will contribute to teaching in the most comprehensive undergraduate Atmospheric Science program in Australia. This will include developing teaching material, teaching large and small classes, supervising honours research projects and acting as an adviser for undergraduates. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to generalist teaching in the other areas of the SEAE.

If you feel that you have the skills and experience to make this role a success your application is encouraged.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible-working arrangements may be negotiated.

For application information please see:

Best regards,

Christian Jakob
