Seasonal Prediction Technical Modelling Specialist

·         $92,560 – $104,260 pa plus an additional 15.4% superannuation

·         Executive Level 1 (Research Scientist) – Ref: 14162

·         Docklands, Melbourne

·         Non Ongoing –3 years to Aug 2018

 

The Bureau is seeking a person to support the development of a new state-of-the-art coupled model and data assimilation system for seasonal prediction, ACCESS-S. The person will work with a team of scientists and will be involved in the development, testing and evaluation of ACCESS-S, including conducting and analysing model experiments. The appointee will have a research background in physical sciences and strong computational skills. In particular, the individual will have experience in developing and running large and complex software systems.
