Vacancy: Lecturer position in Geophysics at the University of Auckland
(New Zealand)

The Department of Physics at the University of Auckland, New Zealand,
seeks applicants for an academic position in Geophysics, at the Lecturer
or Senior Lecturer level (roughly equivalent to an Assistant / Associate
Professor in the United States.) This permanent appointment will
enhance the Department’s programme in geophysics, climate physics and
the physics of the environment

We welcome applications from all individuals working within geophysics
and environmental physics, but candidates whose interests complement
existing strengths within the Department and Faculty will receive
particular attention. Such topics include cryospheric geophysics,
climate physics, atmospheric active remote sensing, and potential-field

Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in geophysics, physics or a
closely related field, a demonstrable commitment to innovative and
effective teaching, and the potential to conduct world-class research.
