Job Announcement: Open Position for International Project Officer The APEC Climate Center (APCC) based in Busan, South Korea is a leading provider of climate information services and forecast products in the APEC region. It aims to support the 21 APEC member economies in promoting human security and protecting life and property from the hazards associated with climate variability and change. We are currently seeking to fill the position of International Project Officer. Under the general supervision and guidance of the Head of External Affairs Department, the International Project Officer will be responsible for the following duties: • Develop and plan research proposals • Facilitate international cooperation projects • Actively seek out funding opportunities for international projects • Communicate with counterparts in APEC member economies, international organizations, and government agencies and manage these networks • Edit research reports, articles, and other documents written in English • Other tasks as required Desired qualifications • English Native Speaker with Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree in climate change, atmospheric science, environment, or related fields Required skills and competencies • Strong capacity to design, implement and evaluate projects related to climate • Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team • Excellent communication and writing skills in English To apply: Go to: http://www.apcc21.org/eng/notice/opp/japcc0503_lst.jsp Step 1: Download the application form Step 2: Submit the application form with a cover letter, a Curriculum Vitae to recruit_doc@apcc21.org<mailto:recruit_doc@apcc21.org> Deadline for applications July 8(Wed.), 2015
