We are currently looking for talented people willing to be pioneers in the 
field of Marine Data Intelligence.

Contract type :  1 year full-time contract (possible evolution to a permanent 
contract)

Location : Brest, Brittany, France

Availability : ASAP

Salary : between 32 K€ and 34 K€ depending on experience

Today, a major step in our development implies the re-enforcement of our 
modeling team with a WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) model specialist.

Your challenge

Be recognized for your expertise by bringing your skills to a fast growing 
company, where you can contribute directly to the success story of a future 
major player of the offshore energy sector :

•    Develop regional implementations of WRF within an optimized downscaling 
strategy to create hindcast databases, validate the results with offshore wind 
standard scores and refine models if necessary.

•    Set up data assimilation in the WRF implementations.

•    Participate to the development of a toolbox for statistical analyses 
following the standards of the offshore wind sector

•    Be part of a scientific team.

•    Clearly explain your methodology, the problems you are facing for both 
specialists and neophytes.

•    Propose simple and innovating methods to solve complex problems.

About you

•    You have relevant experience in atmospheric modeling with WRF.

•    You have a keen instinct for problem solving and are highly resourceful 
with Linux/Unix.

•    Shell and Python scripting, and object-oriented programming are required.

•    You are able to demonstrate proficiency in deploying models in support of 
a range of atmospheric conditions, especially in the 100 first meters of the 
atmospheric column (knowledge in downscaling and flux algorithms) and to select 
appropriate model domains and physical parametrization.

•    You are highly resourceful with modeling parallelization and optimization.
