We need a talented scientist to carry out research on the drivers of variability in European summer climate as part of the SummerTIME project funded by the Natural Environment Research Council.
You will analyse observations and conduct numerical climate model experiments to improve scientific understanding of the factors that govern variability in European summer climate, with a particular focus on the role of ocean-atmosphere interactions.
You will have:
- A PhD in physical or mathematical science
- Strong scientific analytical ability, creativity and self-motivation
- Interest in climate dynamics including the role of the oceans in climate and climate prediction
- Experience in computer programming and data analysis
