Research fellow (PhD candidate) in numerical modeling and experimental meteorology The Geophysical Institute (www.uib.no/en/gfi) has a vacancy for a research fellow (PhD candidate) in numerical modeling and experimental meteorology. The position is for a fixed term of 4 years and is associated with the research group in meteorology. We seek an enthusiastic and creative PhD candidate to join the forefront of the rapidly evolving field of stable isotope meteorology. The overall aim of the project will be to develop new approaches for using the observed stable isotope composition of water vapour and precipitation as an additional constraint to weather and climate models. The position will involve both experimental work in the field and laboratory, as well as numerical modeling. The aim of the work will be to contribution to our understand of patterns in ice cores and other climate archives from a meteorological perspective.
