Research Associate for Computing Systems Management/ Harvard University. The Atmospheric Chemistry Modeling Group at Harvard University is seeking a Research Associate to design, build, and manage the computing resources needed by the group. The successful candidate will configure and administer software environments for code development and data management. He/she will consult with faculty, students, postdoctoral students, and staff to match resources with computational needs, and will arrange for the purchase of equipment and software to meet these needs. The position requires experience constructing a high performance computing cluster and working knowledge of security tools. Familiarity with physical models and numerical algorithms is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are needed to interact with a large group of researchers at a high technical level. Applicants should have a MS or Ph.D. in computer science, computational science, engineering, or atmospheric science with substantial systems experience.
