The Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo is seeking
applications for a nomination to a NSERC Canada Research Chair Tier 2, at the

Expressions of interest are solicited on the theme of environmental change with
a focus on one of the following three areas:

natural environmental systems in a changing world;
- geovisualization of big data for environmental change analysis.

We are particularly interested in applicants who can address scientific
problems across spatial and temporal scales and who can combine diverse
approaches and methodologies in their research program. Candidates with
expertise in the following methodological areas are particularly encouraged to
apply: field experimentation, modeling of physical and/or biophysical
processes, data mining and geospatial analysis.

and the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy.

Potential candidates should have an established record of excellence in
