Applications are invited for a 4-year NERC iCASE PhD Studentship to undertake research into processes determining stratospheric water vapour. This will be a co-operative project between the University of Cambridge (supervisors Professor Peter Haynes and Dr Amanda Maycock) and the UK Met Office (supervisors Dr Neal Butchart and Dr Steven Hardiman).

Applicants should have (or expect to obtain) an honours degree (at least 2.1 or equivalent) in mathematics, physics or a similar discipline. Experience in atmospheric science or fluid mechanics and experience of programming would both be an advantage.

Closing date: 13 March 2015.
