The epartment of Meteorology offers a vibrant and stimulating environment for 
research. We need a talented and imaginative scientist to join a team effort 
aimed at understanding the physical processes affecting ocean heat uptake from 
observations and models, as well as investigating the traceability of the 
representation of these processes in a hierarchy of climate models ranging from 
simple two-layer models to fully comprehensive coupled climate models.

You will have:

  *   A PhD in physical oceanography or a related discipline
  *   Experience with numerical ocean models and high performance computing
  *   The ability to tackle computationally challenging problems
  *   The ability to maintain productive working relationships
