The Department of Geography at Rutgers University seeks Ph.D students
interested in climate and polar research to work on projects about
climate change, hydrology and rapidly diminishing snow and ice in the
northern hemisphere. The successful candidates will join Prof.

program involves professional training and application of a diverse set
of methods, which may include remote sensing, modeling, statistics,
computer programming, geospatial analysis and field methods techniques.
Certificate opportunities that can be combined with the Geography Ph.D
program include the Geospatial Information Science program and a new

Competitive fellowships are available for highly qualified students.
