Ph.D student positions in polar and climate research at Rutgers University The Department of Geography at Rutgers University seeks Ph.D students interested in climate and polar research to work on projects about climate change, hydrology and rapidly diminishing snow and ice in the northern hemisphere. The successful candidates will join Prof. Rennermalm’s (http://rci.rutgers.edu/~arennerm <http://rci.rutgers.edu/~arennerm/Home.html>) and Prof. Robinson's (http://climate.rutgers.edu/snowcover/) research groups. The Ph.D program involves professional training and application of a diverse set of methods, which may include remote sensing, modeling, statistics, computer programming, geospatial analysis and field methods techniques. Certificate opportunities that can be combined with the Geography Ph.D program include the Geospatial Information Science program and a new Earth, Ocean and Atmosphere Sciences program starting in fall 2015.
