Apologies for any cross-posting.

The ICOS Carbon Portal is looking for a scientist in the field of (inverse) atmospheric transport models and carbon cycle science. The scientist will work together with the scientific community, initiates and coordinates the development of so called elaborated products and develops the services for the scientific community to make this happen. The elaborated products will be a community effort that make use of ICOS observations, enriched with other data streams and models, to establish a comprehensive view on the fluxes and trends of the greenhouse gases in Europe and the world.

The successful candidate holds a relevant doctorate and has several years of experience as post-doc or scientist in one or more of the relevant fields. The successful candidate is communicative, flexible but resolved and has an open mind-set. Furthermore excellent skills and experience are an advantage in one or more of the following: scientific programming, handling large volumes of data, numerical methods (e.g. Bayesian optimization), high resolution atmospheric transport models (Eulerian and Lagrangian) and terrestrial ecosystem models. We offer a full-time fixed position at Lund University in Sweden at excellent conditions and facilities, a pleasant working environment and an excellent team of motivated colleagues.
