Imperial College: PhD Studentship on fire-composition-climate interactions

The Composition-Climate team (led by Dr Apostolos Voulgarakis) within the Atmospheric Physics Group at Imperial College London ( is offering a PhD project on
"Fires, atmospheric composition, and climate forcing" for starting in October 2015. You would be joining an active team and working on a cutting edge scientific topic, with close interactions and visits to the NASA GISS institute, USA (co-supervisor Dr Robert Field), and several opportunities for other collaborations. We are looking for a graduate in physical/chemical science, maths, engineering, environmental or Earth science with at least a 2.1 Honours degree. Funding is only available for home and EU students. The deadline for receiving applications is January 30th 2015.
