The National University of Ireland Galway, in partnership with Science 
Foundation Ireland, is currently offering Research Professorships to build 
capacity and enable growth in targeted areas of strategic importance to NUI 
Galway and of scientific and economic importance.  The Professorship appointed 
is dependent on success within the SFI Targeted Professorship Programme which 
provides for up to €5M in direct costs over a 5 year period.

NUI Galway invites Expressions of Interest from world-class researchers to 
assume a leadership positoins as a Research Professor in the area of Earth 
Observation with specific expertise and experience in satellite remote sensing. 
 The successful candidate will lead the integration of EO resources and 
capabilities and will work closely with the Ryan Institute at NUI Galway.  If 
you believe that you can inspire and build excellence with impact in a
