Forwarded from CLIMLIST... Research fellow (PhD candidate) in atmospheric dynamics and climate modelling The Geophysical Institute at the University of Bergen has a vacancy for a research fellow (PhD candidate) in atmospheric dynamics and climate modelling. The candidate will use a combination of paleo proxy data, historical data, instrumental data, theory, diagnostics, and climate models to improve our understanding of climatic variability, in particular with respect to the atmospheric water cycle, in the East Asian region on interannual to centennial time scales. The position is associated with the research group in meteorology and the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research. The fellowship position is for a fixed term of 4 years, of which 25% will comprise mandatory work such as teaching and/or administrative tasks. Being part of an ongoing research collaboration between Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research and the Nansen-Zhu International Research Center in Beijing, China, the position will involve a research stay in Beijing of minimum 6 months. Further details on the project and qualification requirements, contact information, as well as a link to the application form can be found at the link below. <http://www.jobbnorge.no/en/available-jobs/job/106322/research-fellow-phd-candidate-in-atmospheric-dynamics-and-climate-modelling> Closing date for application: 14 November 2014
