Macquarie University invites applications for the leadership role Head
of Department for the Department of Environmental Sciences in the
Faculty of Science. In this continuing position as a Professor of
Environmental Sciences, the successful candidate will lead the
department as Head of Department for the first five years of the
appointment.

As Head of Department you will work closely with the Executive Dean of
Science and provide academic leadership to the department and ensure
that resources are managed effectively in order to deliver first class
teaching, research and community engagement.

We seek a strategic and engaging leader with the personal attributes of
integrity, outstanding academic achievement, and high order
communication skills which will continue to build on the department's
achievements in research, the capacity to attract outstanding students
and staff members, and create a culture and an environment where success
is inevitable.
