This is a readvertisement of a new, joint position between the National Physical Laboratory (NPL, 80%) and the University of Edinburgh (UoE, 20%) focused on developing a metrological research programme on ground-based remote-sensing of greenhouse gases (GHGs).
The successful applicant will have a strong track record of peer-review publications and research funding and of making and interpreting ground-based GHG measurements. They will be responsible for developing a sustainable research programme, building on existing expertise at NPL and UoE, which will influence future science interests of NPL, UoE, and UK plc. The position is initially a 5-year fixed term contract with the possibility for extension, subject to meeting performance criteria.
