The APEC Climate Center has job opportunities at present.

JOB POSTINGS



POSTING I: Climate prediction and analysis



▪    Monitoring and analysis of climate variability and its teleconnection 
pattern

▪    Assessment of climate predictability for the subseasonal to decadal time 
scales

▪    Understanding and enhancing climate predictability thought statistical 
post processes



POSTING II: Climate modeling



▪          Improving global climate model and its validation and management for 
developing state-of-art climate prediction system

▪           Atmosphere, ocean, and land initialization for both of short-term 
and long term climate prediction



POSTING III: Climate risk management and disaster risk reduction



▪           Statistical and dynamical analysis of weather and climate extremes 
in observations and climate models related impact studies

▪          Assessment of coastal risks associated with climate variability and 
change and development of measures to cope with adverse impact of climate 
extremes.





DESIRED QUALIFICATION



▪          Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Meteorology, Atmospheric science 
and relevant fields

▪          At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant field is preferred
