we are happy to announce that 3 full MICMoR Fellowships for doctoral
students are open for application now.

MICMoR (Mechanisms and Interactions of Climate Change in Mountain
Regions, <>) is a graduate research training
program hosted by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) at its
KIT-Campus Alpin in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. We invite all
interested candidates for our doctoral program with a focus on climate
change research in mountain regions to apply!

Applicants must hold a Master or an equivalent degree in a climate
change discipline (physics, meteorology, geography, biology,
environmental science etc.). The primary selection criterion for these
fellowships is academic excellence. For a successful application,
candidates must document an interest in research on a MICMoR-related
topic centered at the TERENO-prealpine Observatory (see

Fellowships will start on October 1, 2014. In contrast to the MICMoR
Fellowships awarded so far, these full fellowships will be awarded as
monthly stipends for up to 3 years. Fellows will receive a monthly
stipend of 1365,- € plus an allowance (of 50%; max. 100 €) towards
health insurance. More information on the application procedure is given

the submission of all required application documents is May 31, 2014.
