Forwarded from CLIMLIST... Dear colleagues and friends, we are happy to announce that 3 full MICMoR Fellowships for doctoral students are open for application now. MICMoR (Mechanisms and Interactions of Climate Change in Mountain Regions, <http://www.micmor.kit.edu>) is a graduate research training program hosted by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) at its KIT-Campus Alpin in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. We invite all interested candidates for our doctoral program with a focus on climate change research in mountain regions to apply! Applicants must hold a Master or an equivalent degree in a climate change discipline (physics, meteorology, geography, biology, environmental science etc.). The primary selection criterion for these fellowships is academic excellence. For a successful application, candidates must document an interest in research on a MICMoR-related topic centered at the TERENO-prealpine Observatory (see <http://www.imk-ifu.kit.edu/tereno.php>). Fellowships will start on October 1, 2014. In contrast to the MICMoR Fellowships awarded so far, these full fellowships will be awarded as monthly stipends for up to 3 years. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 1365,- € plus an allowance (of 50%; max. 100 €) towards health insurance. More information on the application procedure is given on <http://www.micmor.kit.edu/micmor-full-fellowships>. The deadline for the submission of all required application documents is May 31, 2014. Selection of fellows will be in June. Please feel free to circulate or post this announcement.
