Apologies for cross-posting.

There is currently a vacancy for a Statistician at the Statistical Services 
Centre, University of Reading, UK.

The Statistical Services Centre (SSC) provides statistical consultancy and 
training to a range of clients in the UK and abroad. We are looking for a 
Statistician to join our team.  It should be emphasised that the post is not an 
academic or research position. The role is for a consultant, specialising in 
consultancy and training.

Post of Statistician
The appointment is full-time, permanent, Grade 6 - 28,132 GBP to 35,597 GBP per 

The ideal candidate will be expected to make a strong contribution to all of 
the areas of interest to the SSC; in particular our work in developing 
countries, much of which is in Sub-Saharan Africa.  The candidate must be happy 
to travel both within the UK and overseas.  Equally, given the variety of our 
work, we are seeking an enthusiastic person who enjoys the challenge of applied 
statistical problems and likes to keep up to date with statistical developments.

You will have:
*at least a M.Sc. in Statistics (or equivalent) *experience of working in a 
statistical consultancy and/or training role *a willingness to travel, both 
within the UK and abroad *a good working knowledge of mainstream statistical 
software *the ability to work as part of a team and individually *excellent 
communication skills.
