Post-Doctoral Research Fellow


University of Southern Queensland (USQ) seeks to appoint a fixed-term full-time Research Fellow to work on an ARC-funded project focusing on an objective climatology of severe thunderstorms across the major Australian cities using the Bureau of Meteorology’s radar network. Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will also work with diverse team of researchers from, the University of Southern Queensland, Monash University, the Centre for Australian Weather and Climate Research (CAWCR) and industry partner Suncorp Insurance to make scientific contributions.

 


The position will be hosted by the Australian Centre for Sustainable Catchments (ACSC), University of Southern Queensland under the supervision of Professor Roger Stone and Dr. Shahbaz Mushtaq. The Centre forms a key component of the Institute of Agriculture and the Environment at USQ and has wide ranging projects in climate and weather risk management, globally.
