Sky News is an unrivalled, world class breaking news service with a spirit of innovation and a fresh approach to news broadcasting. As the UK's first dedicated 24-hour news channel, we have built a deserved reputation for being the first to break major news as well as offering insight and analysis on the latest stories.

We’re renowned for the speed of our coverage and flexibility of reporting news live across all platforms - TV, mobile, online, radio and iPad.  Sky News reaches over 107 million homes across 117 countries around the world and Skynews.com receives between 8-10 million monthly unique users with around 135 million monthly page views.

We are looking for a Weather Producer to join us on a fixed-term contract basis, to cover maternity leave. As a Weather Producer, you will help to prepare forecasts and weather information across our multiple platforms – TV, digital and radio. You will interpret weather data; write scripts for television and articles for online; assist weather presenters; commission weather graphics sequences for TV; and prepare TV sequences on related subjects such as pollen, carbon emissions and world weather.

To be considered for this role, we’re looking for you to have knowledge of meteorology and an understanding of television production techniques. You’ll need to be technically adept, an excellent communicator, and have strong writing and organisation skills.

If this sounds like what you’re looking for, then we’d love to hear from you.
