Job description:

We are a multidisciplinary group of researchers (physicists, chemists, 
biologists, and engineers) from leading Chilean universities with nationwide 
presence. We aim to join global efforts to assess the crucial role played by 
Antarctica in global climate, and the impacts of climate change on Antarctica. 
We are responsible for 700 m2 of research laboratories and have a 
semi-permanent research platform at Escudero Station (Antarctic Peninsula).

We look for young researchers (who were awarded a Doctorate degree after July 
1, 2011) interested in joining our group as postdocs. The postdoc should carry 
out his/her own research under the supervision of one of the members of our 
group.

The job should start in May 2014 for one year, in Santiago, Chile. The salary 
is about 1.100.000 Chilean pesos per month (~ USD$ 2000 after taxes). After the 
first year, the contract may be extended up to 3 years with a 40% increment in 
salary.

Qualification:
PhD in natural sciences or engineering.
