Subject: Contribution to the development of the PROCLIM datasets and services on European future climate
TEC is an international consulting agency, specialized in climate services, climate change impact and adaptation founded in 2001 associating several researchers, some of whom participate to IPCC.
We propose an internship on our innovative project, PROCLIM, a private climate service, derived from the CORDEX project. The internship would ideally last six months from February or March and would provide you some computing training, some consulting experience and a reference in a leading research company. Short term or permanent positions might be considered as a follow-up of a successful internship.
PROCLIM aims to develop some ready-to-use databases, indicators and services, allowing local authorities and others clients to engage in climate change adaptation on a robust basis. You would perform a database managing strong specifications and scientific climate model. You would also use statistical skills to represent climate models’ uncertainties and may popularize it in our communication documents.
You should hold or study a degree in meteorology, computing or statistics. We expect you to demonstrate a strong interest in weather or climate, an interest in consultancies as well as in business development.
Important: all applicants must be qualified to work in the European Economic Community
Conditions : The internship will be governed by a convention signed with your school or university. It will follow the French regulations on internship.
