Graduate Student Position at North Carolina A&T State University Applications are encouraged for a graduate student position focusing on regional climate modeling and analysis with WRF. The CCSM4 forced WRF simulations will be evaluated with the in-situ observations and satellite retrievals to identify model biases and uncertainties. Then the regional climate simulations over Alaska for the entire 21st century will be analyzed to examine the study area’s hydroclimatic features and changes under greenhouse gas forcing. The position is based at the Department of Physics or Department of Energy & Environmental Systems, North Carolina A&T State University, with funding support from NSF and DoI. We seek for candidates with degree in atmospheric/geoscience, natural science, or other relevant subjects including university level mathematics and physics. Modeling and programming experience is desirable. The starting date is negotiable, but preferably as soon as possible.
