[Met-jobs] 2 Research fellowships in Arctic boundary layer meteorology

From Ian Brooks <>
Date Wed, 04 Sep 2013 08:34:00 +0100

Two post doctoral research fellowships are available at the University of Leeds to study Arctic boundary layer and cloud processes and their interaction with surface ocean/sea-ice conditions. Both positions are available for 2-years in the first instance.

These post are associated with a joint project between the University of Leeds, Stockholm Univeristy, and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado/NOAA. A 3-month research cruise around the marginal ice zone of the Arctic Ocean will collect a wide range of in situ and active remote sensing measurements (lidar, cloud radar, etc) of boundary layer and cloud properties. The dynamic interactions between boundary layer structure, cloud properties, and surface ocean/ice conditions will be investigated.
