Two fully funded NERC studentships are available (for start in October 2013) in the School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds.

Possible project areas are:

Atmospheric field measurements of hydroxyl (OH) and other radicals/intermediates (HO2, RO2, IO, formaldehyde, glyoxal) and OH reactivity using laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy Supervisor: Prof Dwayne Heard

Kinetics and photochemistry of gas phase and heterogeneous reactions on aerosols in atmospheric and astrochemical environments Supervisor: Prof Dwayne Heard

Meteoric smoke in the earth's upper atmosphere Supervisor: Prof John Plane
