DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF READING

Applicants are invited for the following PhD studentship, which is funded by AXA

DYNAMICS OF STING JETS AND THEIR RELATION TO LARGER-SCALE DRIVERS

Funding is ONLY available to students from the UK or other European Union countries. The position will remain open until it is filled, but it is hoped it will start on or around 1 October 2013.

Applicants should have at least an upper second class degree (or its equivalent) in physics, mathematics, or closely related physical or environmental science. Candidates with a lower class of degree, but a good performance at Masters level in a relevant subject will also be considered. No prior knowledge of meteorology is required.

This studentship is fully funded (including a maintenance grant of 13,726 per year (2013/2014 rate), and University fees) but this funding is ONLY available to students from the UK or other European Union countries.
