PhD project ‘Modelling the global nitrogen cycle’ available at The University of Edinburgh/CEH.

We seek suitably qualified applicants for a fully-funded 3-year PhD studentship that will use Earth System modelling to study in detail the atmospheric part of the global cycle of reactive nitrogen (more details can be found at:

Applicants should have strong quantitative backgrounds (maths/physics/computing), an interest in atmospheric chemistry, and ideally some experience of working with environmental models and/or data. Full funding is only available for UK citizens, or EU citizens that have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years or more.

The deadline for applications is June 15th, but may move to be later, depending on applications received. The project is anticipated to start in September 2013.
