A number of PhD studentships are available for candidates from the UK and other European Union countries, who have resided in the UK for three years or more. Studentships cover University Fees and include a tax-free Maintenance Grant.

Topics cover areas across weather and climate science and Earth observation - some are available to start as soon as possible, others are available for October 2013 start.

Applicants should have at least an upper second class degree in physics,
mathematics, or a closely related physical or environmental science.
Candidates with a lower class of first degree, but a good performance at
Masters level in a relevant subject, will also be considered. No prior
knowledge of meteorology is required.
