[Met-jobs] Data Assimilation Scientists Positions at the Met Office

The Data Assimilation and Ensembles (DAE) section of the Met Office's Science programme
undertakes research and development in observations processing, data assimilation and
ensemble forecasting. The work of DAE is focussed on improving the quality of Met Office
forecasts, especially of severe weather over the UK.
DAE is currently advertising a number of permanent scientific positions based at our headquarters
in Exeter, UK. The positions are in the areas of a) Advanced DA methods (e.g. 4DEnVar),
b) Assessing/optimizing the impact of observations within global DA (currently hybrid 4D-Var),
and c) Two positions in convective-scale DA (moisture assimilation, 3/4D-Var development/testing).
