The hydrological research team at SMHI in Sweden is looking for a new scientist within hydrology.
Do you enjoy working in a team environment, sometimes leading projects? Can you see yourself working in research and development with access to large databases and a high IT-standard? Do you appreciate a dynamic ambience with experts from nearby disciplines? Are you curious about processes and cause-effect relations in nature? Do you want to initiate, carry out and finalise projects, which will come into direct use in society? Are you willing to travel occasionally for international collaborations? Then you might be the person we are looking for.
You will mainly work on method development for good hydrological initial conditions, model up-dating and test of meteorological products for daily, weekly and seasonal forecasting of catchment hydrology. You will also work on model applications and delivery of decision-support to various end-users in the society. The job also includes analysis, scientific publication, project management and writing proposals for research funding.
