The Vacancy

Due to continued expansion we now require experienced forecasters or maritime professionals to work from our Aberdeen office and other StormGeo locations. We are searching for candidates (multiple positions are available for the correct applicants) with demonstrable skill in provision of weather routing services to the shipping industry. Experience with ‘End of Voyage’ performance reports would be considered and advantage. The successful candidates will become members of a vibrant and growing international team which offers real possibilities for personal and professional development.

Essential Requirements:

·         Formal qualification in Meteorology or relevant maritime experience.

·         Minimum two years of relevant experience

·         Detail orientated with excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Demonstrable interest in the marine and shipping industries

·         Ability and experience working within a fast paced team environment

·         Fluency in both written and spoken English

Preferred Requirements:

·         Forecasting experience in marine and tropical meteorology

·         Experience in vessel route analysis and route design

·         Experience in production  of end of voyage reports and analyses (EOV/PVA)
