University Master's on Climate Change studies.

The Center for Climate Change (C3, University Rovira iVirgili, Tortosa,
Spain, <www.c3.urv.cat <http://www.c3.urv.cat/>> ) and the Institute for
Techno-Agroalimentary Research (IRTA-AQUATIC, Generalitat de Catalunya,
<http://www.irta.cat/en-US/RIT/M/M2/Pages/M2.aspx>are launching a new
Master on Climate Change (MDCC) for the academic year 2013/2014.

The course will provide professional specialization in Climate data
analysis and climate change impacts. The MDCCis structured in 60 ECTS,
covering Basic Climate Change Knowledge and Research Skills (11 ECTS);
Climate Data Rescue, Quality Control, Homogenization, Climate and
weather extremes and climate change impact analysis (19 ECTS) and a
Master Dissertation to be conducted in association with the involved
research groups and directed by leading specialists on each topic. The
first edition of the MCC will take place between October 2013 and June
2014. Lectures will be held during the first term (October-December) and
oriented research will take place between January and June. The official
language of the MCC is English, but students will find support in a
variety of languages (Spanish, Catalan, French, Romanian, Hungarian,
Greek, Portuguese).

Registration is open from now until 15th June 2013or whenever the
offered places (20) are filled. Funding opportunities, admission
requirements – basically, a first degree by a recognized academic

Tortosa is a small village in the NE of Spain, near the Mediterranean,
the Ebro's Delta and surrounded by the Ports of Beceit Mountains,
providing a wonderful and comfortable environment.The lectures will be
held a the URV's (www.urv.es <http://www.urv.es/>)Campus Terres de
l'Ebre (<http://www.urv.cat/campus_terres_ebre/index.html> ), where the
students will find all the necessary support plus a friendly environment
to leave.
