AVIATION METEOROLOGIST

The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology, the national weather service 
of the United Arab Emirates, is looking for a qualified aviation meteorological 
forecaster to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
The aviation meteorologist will undertake the provision of meteorological 
forecast services for airports and the FIR within the United Arab Emirates. The 
meteorologist will have previous experience with the production of TAFs, 
Airfield Warnings and Sigmets at an international airport. The meteorologist 
will have previous experience with the production of meteorological flight 
support and briefing products. The meteorologist will have previous experience 
working in a deadline driven fast paced environment.
Required Education and Training:
Must  hold a Bachelor of Science degree.
Additional training meeting the requirements of WMO Manual No. 1083.
A minimum of 5 years experience as an Aviation Meteorologist.
Preferred attributes:
Exposure to modern meteorological weather workstations, specifically the IBL 
weather workstation.
Has briefed and interacted with a multicultural client base.
Has managed several subordinates in a multicultural environment.
Is familiar with the WRF atmospheric numerical model.
Is familiar with the climate of the Arabian Gulf region.
Familiar with Quality Management Systems
