We seek a highly motivated and qualified researcher to join the Synoptic 
Meteorology and Climatology Group at Melbourne University in Australia for a 
two-year full time appointment. The appointee will contribute to an existing 
Australian Antarctic Division (AAD)-funded project exploring the energetics and 
dynamics of polar lows around Antarctica. The central aim of this project is to 
use high resolution model outputs to study the physical processes of small 
destructive cyclones on the fringe of the Antarctic continent.
A Master degree in Atmospheric Sciences (or related discipline) is one of the 
desirable criteria.

Annual Salary (in Australian Dollars): $ 59,646 - $ 80,939 plus employer 
superannuation of 9%.
