Research Fellow in Atmospheric Chemistry University of Birmingham -School of Geography, Earth & Environmental Sciences Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Air Pollution / Atmospheric Chemistry. The Research Fellow will be primarily responsible for the analysis of atmospheric field data recorded during the NERC ClearfLo (Clean Air for London) project (see www.clearflo.ac.uk), with a focus upon measurements of aerosol size distributions, and online- and offline composition measurements, recorded at the London and Harwell measurement sites. The ClearfLo work will be performed in collaboration with other current staff (research fellows, PhD students) at Birmingham, and will involve substantial liason with partners at other Universities, and within the National Centre for Atmospheric Science. In addition, it is likely that the successful applicant will have opportunities to contribute to other ongoing research projects in the groups of Dr W Bloss and Professor RM Harrison, potentially including laboratory and field measurements (depending upon their interests and expertise), and will contribute to the supervision of PhD and MSc students in related areas within the group.
