[Met-jobs] FP7 ITaRS ITN: 4 Experienced Researcher Positions in Atmospheric Science

Applications are invited for 4 Experienced Researcher positions to work in the ITARS ('Initial Training for atmospheric Remote Sensing') Network. ITaRS is a Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) within the FP7 programme. ITARS aims at improving our understanding of aerosols, clouds, and aerosol-cloud interaction processes and their role in both climate and weather. For this purpose, the research projects will focus on high-end ground-based remote-sensing instrumentation, synergistic observations and/or mathematical methods.

The 4 posts are available for 2 years at the following institutions:

- National Institute for Research and Development in Optoelectronics (INOE) / University of Bucharest, Romania;
- Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (CNR-IMAA) / University of Basilicata (Potenza), Italy;
- Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands;
- University of Cologne, Germany;

Salaries will be commensurate with a Marie-Curie Experienced Researcher (ER) position.

Single projects will focus on:

- Influence of long-range transported aerosols on air quality from in situ and remote sensing data (ER5)
- Multi-sensor evaluation of cloud-radiation processes (ER9)
- Statistical assessment of aerosol influence on cloud properties (ER14)
- Aerosol-cloud interaction in the twilight zone (ER15)
