Human activities as well as nature produce large amounts of trace compounds which influence the chemical composition of the atmosphere and earth's climate.
Experimental field studies, simulation experiments and model calculations are used to investigate the processes that control the chemical transformation, spatial distribution of trace compounds, and their ultimate removal from the atmosphere.

· Handling and analysis of the remote sensing measurements of clouds, wind and thermodynamic properties at the Jülich Observatory for Cloud Evolution (JOYCE)
· Reconstruction of consistent observational strategies with the atmospheric modelers
